Simigni Olive Groves

The harmonious hills between the medieval villages of Gualdo Cattaneo, Bevagna and Giano dell’Umbria live a privileged condition: altitude between 220 and 470 meters, clay-limestone soils and a temperate climate subcontinentale. A winning combination that gives rise to a soil particularly suited for powerful wines, complex and rich in personality.
If the main vine is definitely Sagrantino, the DOCG also has very high expressions of Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino and international grapes that find their ideal location here.

Used in the Middle Ages to produce vin Santo, hence its name, it is the wine symbol of Umbria. The grapes grow on hilly clay soils, located between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. The result is a powerful, complex wine with a great structure and roundness. An intense personality capable of always renewing itself.

Autochthonous of Central Italy, but native to the land of which it bears the name; finds its ideal expression on clay-limestone soils, which give it an accentuated minerality and a good structure. Golden yellow color that invites you to sip.

In the heart of Umbria

Our vineyards

The wine tradition in Umbria has ancient roots. The vines bred since the Middle Ages by the Franciscan Friars have found a fertile land and ideal climatic conditions in which to express themselves admirably, obtaining powerful wines of character and deep elegance.
