Typical Umbrian Products
Looking around you can only be fascinated by the beauty of the olive trees. The extra virgin olive oil produced by them can use the "Protected Designation of Origin Umbria - Colli Martani", or one of the five subareas in which the territory of the region has been divided.
This title derives from a series of properties that only an extraordinary region can attribute to its products. Thanks to the favourable climatic conditions of this land, the olives ripen slowly, maintaining a very low acidity.
Of great importance are the soils placed in the hills, on the foothills. Exceptionally structured and very permeable, they allow to penetrate effectively the roots of plants.
These natural characteristics are combined with the careful contribution made by man. For example, the olives are harvested according to precise schedules, in order to capture the moment when the fruit is semi-unchanged and presents both the maximum of fruitiness and the minimum of acidity.
This is the land where the Farchioni family has its roots.
