Boneggio Olive Groves
In the heart of Umbria lies a 3-hectare experimental field—an open-air laboratory dedicated to research and innovation in olive cultivation. Here, we test numerous olive varieties, selecting those best suited to climate change and mechanical harvesting techniques, ensuring a sustainable and long-lasting production.
Thanks to our collaboration with the CNR IBBR of Perugia and the University of Perugia, our experimental field is now recognized as one of the most important worldwide in the field of olive research. Each year, we gather valuable data to improve cultivation techniques and optimize product quality.
The trees range in age from 1 to 8 years, with planting started in 2017. This growth journey allows us to observe how different varieties evolve over time, ensuring reliable and innovative results.

We exclusively adopt organic farming methods, respecting both plant health and the environment. Harvesting is done manually, allowing us to collect selected samples and analyze them in order to further refine production techniques.
The soil selected for the experimental grove has a loamy clay-sandy texture, with good water retention capacity. The pH is moderately alkaline, and organic matter content is medium-low. Phosphorus, potassium, and calcium levels are medium to high.
