Brolio Olive Groves
Spread across 170 hectares of land, divided between the municipalities of Cortona (30 hectares) and Castiglion Fiorentino (140 hectares), our IGP Toscano extra virgin olive oil is carefully produced here. The olives come from trees grown in a natural environment, ideal for obtaining high-quality oil.
We cultivate some of the most representative olive varieties: Leccio del Corno, Maurino, Pendolino, and Leccino. The trees range in age from 5 to 8 years—an optimal period when olive trees begin to yield at their best, continuing to peak in productivity until around 50 years of age, before entering a phase of decline.

To ensure a sustainable product, we apply organic farming methods to the portion of land located in Cortona, while other areas are managed using zero-residue integrated pest management. The olives are harvested using a mechanical over-the-row harvester, a method that reduces environmental impact and optimizes the process.
The trees grow on clay soil, moderately rich in phosphorus and potassium, and free from stones or rocks. The area is also characterized by cold winters, typical of the Tuscan region, which in their own way influence the oil’s unique characteristics.
