Gualdo Cattaneo Olive Groves

This is a traditional olive grove covering 20 to 21 hectares, with a planting density of about 300 trees per hectare. Guardians of a long-standing olive-growing tradition, the grove hosts trees aged between 20 and 80 years, producing oil with a unique and refined character.

The olive varieties have been carefully selected to ensure quality, aroma, and authenticity: Moraiolo (intense and aromatic flavor), Leccino (delicate and versatile), Frantoio (balanced and harmonious).

Thanks to careful attention and dedication, we produce DOP Umbria Colli Martani certified oil here—a true expression of the region’s tradition and quality. We also follow a fully organic farming method, respecting the environment and ensuring a wholesome product.

Harvesting is carried out in two ways: either by using a trunk shaker with an integrated net or by manual picking, especially for trees located on steep slopes or those that are older and more delicate.

The olive trees grow on a soil ranging from loam-clay to clay, with low skeletal content (stones and rocks). With a medium organic matter content and rich in phosphorus and potassium, the soil directly enhances the sensory characteristics of our oil, adding subtle notes and aromas that vary depending on the olive variety.
