PSR Umbria 2014/2020 measure 4
Sub-measure 4.1 - Type of intervention 4.1.1
The entrepreneurial project implemented by the company Farchioni Oli S.p.A. has allowed the development and modernization of the farm, in particular the primary productive purchased.
With this plan, the company has implemented a development project for quality tree production by planting new trees in the DO area and new specialized olive groves.
In addition, relief irrigation systems have been implemented on most of the existing areas, invested in vineyards and olive groves, which will guarantee stable production quantities even in particularly dry years, as now frequently also in our areas and with grapes of higher quality.High-tech machinery and equipment were also purchased, necessary for the cultivation of tree plantations, with particular attention to equipment for the containment of grasses, the treatment of pathogens, the cultivation and fertilisation of the soil, up to mechanised harvesting. All with the aim of reducing production costs and environmental pollution, thanks to the use of high-tech machines, which allow you to manage in a computerized way the fertilizing operations, treatment of pathogens, minimising product consumption.
The investments have therefore generally made it possible to raise the level of competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, particularly in the main production sectors, namely wine and olive growing.
